How Nike is using blockchain to combat counterfeiting

509 billion dollars: that's how much counterfeit goods were traded worldwide in 2016. This figure

is rising steadily and accounted for 3.3% of the volume of global trade

that same year. To combat this scourge, which

particularly hard hit, some clothing brands have decided to counter-attack

using blockchain.

In particular, Nike, Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein have joined forces in a new project to track products on a global supply chain using blockchain technology.
