Would you like to buy this tweet? Over the weekend, Twitter boss Jack Dorsey auctioned off his first tweet in the form of an NFT (Non-fungible token), a unique cryptographic object embedded in the blockchain. This is
the very first official tweet in history, published on 21 March 2006
with the text: "I'm creating my Twttr account".
A few hours after the opening of the auction on the "Valuables by Cent" platform, the bids quickly flew in. The buyer will receive a "digital certificate", digitally signed and verified by Jack Dorsey, as well as the
metadata of the original tweet, signifying that they are the owner.
But the publication will remain accessible to the public on Twitter even after
auction.
